Students attending a performance can also participate in free workshops. These outcomes-based programs deepen student learning across the curriculum and facilitate collaboration with artists and practitioners.


One Infinity

Dance workshop

Join renowned Australian choreographer Gideon Obarzarnek and dancers from One Infinity in this workshop for dance students to explore the technique that underpins the performance.

Tai Chi workshop

Experience the calm and focus of Tai Chi and learn the basic movements of this ancient and meditative martial arts practice that inspired One Infinity. Presented by a martial arts specialist from the Confucius Institute at UWA.

The Magic Flute

Theatre workshop

‘Intellectual discussion is not what the rehearsal is about … it’s the doing and the playing’ says Barrie Kosky. Engage your students in the excitement of doing and playing in this interactive workshop that explores approaches to design and theatre making processes, drawing on Kosky’s operatic aesthetic. Students will work with a director and designer from WAAPA to discover the theatrical potential of any text.

Storytelling workshop

Stories exist in the most curious places. Theatre-maker and educator Danny Braverman will lead students through an interactive and instructive workshop that explores how to go about creating a compelling story with unexpected materials.
