‘[Archie’s] soulful voice, filled with love, pain, joy and wonderment is stronger and richer than ever.’

- The West Australian

Gya Ngoop Keeninyarra Yalloor Mooroo Boorloo.

The Gardens opens with an evening of stories and song led by our elder statesman, Archie Roach, and the spectacular Noongar dance troupe Gya Ngoop (One Blood Dancers).

With a soulfulness of epic proportions, Archie Roach is majestic. Alongside Uncle Archie, we’re shining a spotlight on the next wave of artistic excellence with a line-up including Radical Son, Emily Wurramara. Join us as we kickstart the Festival and celebrate diversity and the rich musical traditions shared by our first nation artists and storytellers.

Please note: This is a fully seated event with no standing area.
